Dear Friends,
Last night around 10.30 pm I went out on the balcony to enjoy the full moon in Kerala, it is sublime, in Kerala you live under a roof of palm leaves. During full moon there is a golden glow all over it and creates a indescribable scenery. My surprise as I stood suddenly eye to eye with a pregnant elephant, 10 m. from me on the other side of the road, under the tree where a few years ago the old homeless man died, nobody else to see ...
We were looking at each other for a long time and I felt such a sadness in her, but also peace. After about 15 min. her mahouts came from the restaurant farther on the road and asked permission to cut leaves from our coconut trees for her dinner. Vineeth instructed them. After, whilst she was eating, the mahouts nested themselves between her legs and they fell asleep immediately. I went to bed and felt so safe with her so nearby, I even went to look a few times during the night and she was still in the same place, watching our home with her big brown melancholic eyes ...
You, friends/sponsors are our elephant, watching the SISP home, you make us feel safe to continu, thanks ...
