Last week, four young people visited us in India.

Tiffany, Robin, Michelle and Britt receive support from the Oosterport Foundation in The Netherlands and were selected for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. They each collected money for SISP by organising fund-raising projects such as giving presentations, selling items from SISP's workshops, and collecting donations.

In India they sat in on lessons, spent time in the craft workshops, and visited the homes of some of our beneficiaries in Vizhinjam. One of the youngsters received a kiss on the hand from an elderly woman as a sign of respect for the commitment she had made. It was a very touching moment...

It was an interesting and fun time for all but also sometimes emotional.

At the end of their visit they organised and participated in games for all the students and staff at SISP. This was followed by a little show from our enthusiastic dancers, fruit salad for all, and the giving of small gifts to our visitors.

Tiffany, Robin, Michelle and Britt were accompanied by Ton and Betsy Groenendijk, and Martine Tobé from SISP Nederland.
