18th July, 2009 |
We are delighted to report that the trustees of The Sir James Roll Charitable Trust (UK Registered Charity Number 1064963) have awarded us the generous sum of £1,250. The Sir James Roll Charitable Trust was established in 1997. It has made a number of awards to us in recent years for which we are very grateful. It's objectives are recorded as follows:
SISP's activities accord very well with these objectives. The Trust is named after The Reverend Sir James Roll, Bt, who died in 1998 aged 85. He was known as a kindly, humble, self-effacing old vicar with a heart of gold. He cared for the sick, the elderly, the housebound and anyone in trouble. Children were his special delight - he supported chidren's charities and established a children's holiday home. He also had a great love of animals and gave large donations to animal charities.
