New School Packs for Tuition Students |
3rd June, 2009 |
Our highest achieving students are placed in public schools wherever possible. They are kitted out with the requisite backpack, lunch box, geometry set, water bottle, exercise books, text books and paper for covering their books. They will also get free transport to those schools and receive a small allowance too. We believe that regular schools are best for our children if it's at all possible. They will be in classes with children of a similar age and be following a more rigid curriculum. Not all of our able children will go - some try it out but are bullied or the discipline does not suit their temperaments or SISP's friendly environment suits them better and they come back to us. These 'tuition students' return to SISP at around 16:15, have a snack, and then attend tuition sessions until 18:00. During this time they will do their homework and get extra help with their coursework from SISP's teachers. This time also allows us to monitor the children's progress, check on their home lives, ensure that they are adjusting well and confirm that they are happy in their new schools.
