Letter from Paul - India

Dear friends

The monsoon continues

A lot of misery here for the very poorest as a result of the monsoon. A lot of shacks, huts and roofs have collapsed due to the violent and constant rain. Also, because of the wet climate, there are many mosquitos which are transmitting all kinds of viral sicknesses. We are doing our best to help the families here.

More than 2600 Euros-worth of keyrings sold!

Fabrizio, a volunteer from Walloon (a Belgian region) who has helped for several months at SISP and now lives with his Keralase woman in Walloon, has sold keyrings in a school in Jodoigne (Belgium) for more than 2600 euro!

Lelia helps us again!

The Italian organisation Lelia has raised further sponsorship of more than 10,000 Euro for the construction of our new school.

This bodes well and is very encouraging but there is still a long way for us to go… Thanks to everyone!

Volunteers

The two students medicine, two girls from Mechelen (Belgium), arrived tonight for three weeks to work as volunteers.

Line Line, another medical student returned to Belgium after almost three months of working with us in India.

She telephoned the day before yesterday and was already missing the children.

Thank you Line!

Kind  and wet regards,

Paul
