The Workshop ceiling has been cast |
8th May, 2008 |
The concrete ceiling of the workshops has now been cast. At the front of the workshops the awnings over the ground-floor windows have been finished and those on the first floor are being cast. At the back, for almost the entire length of the building, a canopy has been constructed and should offer good protection against direct rain or bright sunlight. As you can see, all of the workshops are full of wooden piles which are supporting the congrete roof while it cures. On top of the roof is a room with a palmtree-leafed roof. This will house the water tanks for the whole site. Once the ceiling/roof is ready, a small wall will be constructed around the perimeter to provide some safety. And finally, after his progress inspections are over, Werner can now secure the whole complex as the gates are now firmly in place and a secure lock has been fitted. |
