26th April, 2008

At the time of writing, Paul Van Gelder and Werner Fynaerts, our two Belgian founders, are currently in their homeland to deal with family matters and to raise funds, so the news from India is a little more sparse than usual.

In the most recent photos from India we can see that the main entrance gates of the new centre have now been hung in position. Temporary props have been placed against them while the fixings in the brick piers set hard.

The gate should make it possible to secure the centre and also to keep the schoolchildren safe within its walls.

Meanwhile the management team have been discussing and examining how monitoring of the buildings will be done at the times when there are no activities on the site and at night time too. One possibility is to appoint an on-site concierge for whom some form of residence would have to be provided, or another alternative is to employ a night-watchman. These things will have to wait until Paul and Werner return to India.
