Work is quietly progressing |
9th February, 2008 |
Today is more peaceful. The painting of the exterior is in full swing. It was decided that we'd put on a coating which gives protection against algae and moisture - very important in this humid climate. So many of the buildings in the area have green and black streaks of algae over them. Inside the buildings the premises are being painted for the second time. The stairs are almost finished and are being skimmed with a final coat of concrete. In the kitchen there are plenty of joiners making the kitchen cabinets. A new company has been approached to try to find water. However, drilling has had to be postponed - the concrete driveway needs to be completely set before the large trucks can be driven over it. |
