14th December, 2007

An unfortunate mistake occurred in the layout of the formwork for the roof. The architect has insisted that the entire roof structure must be dismantled and everything rebuilt. This is obviously all very time-consuming and frustrating, and means that we will not succeed in having the building ready by the end of December.

We have contacted the current landlord and the lease has been extended until the end of March 2008, so at least SISP is not out on the streets.

Meanwhile, they are still hard at work on the new building. At this moment, everything is ready for concreting the roof. The outer walls of the first floor have been plastered and the doors hung.

Next, a contract will be raised for further wall and floor finishing, sanitary fittings, door furniture, etc. Once the tenders are in we will then see if there will be enough money for everything.
