The walls of the first floor (the floor above the ground floor!) have now reached the upper part of the windows and the door frames have been bricked in.

The bricks and the wet mortar are held on the heads and shoulders of labourers so that the mason does not have leave his position and can continue working efficiently.

The carpenters sit on the high walls to work on the formwork of the support beams above the window frames. They obviously have no fear of heights!
