Work starts on the second storey

The overhangs above the covered walkways have been reinforced with iron mesh and further finished.

Sand and cement is brought up to the first floor where an area is set aside for wet mortar to be prepared.

After marking out, the construction of the walls has now started. Some of them are quite low and are quickly finished. The top course of bricks can be "pointed" after forcing a dry-ish mix of mortar into the joints.

Today it is the 1st November, which means that two months remain for us to get everything finished.

From the time of the laying of the foundation stone until now the sacrifices we have made have produced good results. Let's hope the gods remain well disposed so that the new building can be used by the end of December.
