The Architect Comes to Inspect |
20th October, 2007 |
|
This week the architect came on an inspection round. Before we can start building the second floor he needs to be certain that all the concrete has thoroughly dried. All the formwork timbers were removed out of the way to allow him to see that everything was OK. It was, and we can now start with building the walls of the second floor. Bricks and sand have been delivered so we have sufficient materials to make a start. Meanwhile, some of the outside walls have been plastered in the traditional Indian manner. Within the building some of the floors have been screeded and a smooth finish applied. We continue to make good progress with a full team of workers on site most days. |
