Waiting for the sun... |

| In spite of the heavy downpours that we are still having in the tail-end of this monsoon season, the architect has commissioned workers to pour buckets of water on the roof! This is to improve the hardening process - when concrete dries too rapidly it loses its strength. One consequence, however, is that it is delaying the building of the first-floor walls. Let's hope that everything will be finished and ready by the end of this year. Meanwhile, we now have an electricity connection! You can see from the photo another reason why we want the dry season to come soon - the small roof above the connection gives no protection from heavy rain showers! Inside the building it's like a labyrinth with many pillars supporting the heavy roof until it is entirely dry. The good news is that in recent days there have always been workers present in the yard to do small jobs so we are making progress. |
