It continues to rain because the monsoon season is not yet over.
On the drier days the workers, among whom are several women labourers, continue with the heavy work.

Bricks are carried on their heads and can be placed in the precise working locations. As you can see for yourself, a considerable number of bricks have already been transported in this fashion because the walls are quite high now.

That Indian buildings are constructed in a completely different manner to in the West is quite obvious. It is striking that the windows and doors are all individually crafted rather than being mass-produced. The windows at the SISP centre have a beautiful design and security screens are already installed.
