The walls at the back of the building are already at a height of 2 metres. The workers started to build at the back so that the area remains easily accessible and the materials can be transported reasonably easily across the site. Currently there is a lot of activity in the yard.

You will have noticed from the photo that the centre will be built in beautiful green surroundings. Behind the construction land there remains a large area overgrown with coconut trees. Werner, our photographer on the spot, went up on the roof of the first building to take some bird's eye view pictures. They give us an overview of the site, showing the main school building, the offices for the social workers, the practice workshops for drop-outs and there will even be a small room for a First Aid post.

On the construction land the trees which didn't obstruct the construction work have been preserved. Thus the beautiful large acacia will give shade early in the morning. The palm trees on the surrounding plots will ensure shade during the rest of the day.
Lets hope that the green surroundings will bring peace in this ever so busy centre...
